You cannot delete a Skrill (Moneybookers) account yourself. Skrill doesn't provide an option for users to close the account themselves.

In order to close or delete a Skrill account, you must send an e-mail to Skrill Support stating that you want to close your account.

To send an email, go to support section. Once you send the e-mail, you will get a reply e-mail stating that your Skrill account is deactivated. The e-mail I received is given below

Recently, I was thinking about buying a Nexus 5 from USA as it is Rs.8000 cheaper there. One thing I wanted to know was whether Nexus 5 bought from USA will be compatible with the mobile networks in India. I use Idea network, so I e-mailed Idea asking whether the North American version of Nexus 5 ( There is another version of Nexus 5 for rest of the world) would be compatible with the Idea network in Kerala.

You can clearly see that both bands are supported by Nexus 5. There was no point in asking about 4G support as Idea has no idea about 4G. Only Airtel and Reliance have 4G coverage in India. 

Feather Line Computer Chair User Review

I bought feather line revolving computer chair a year ago. Feather line is not a popular chair brand at all, but surely it is one of the upcoming brands. I bought the chair from Kannur, Kerala for around Rs.2300. The reason I bought a new chair was because my previous chair gave me a lot of back pain and sore neck. Back pain was my main reason that I started looking for a new chair.

  • Keep the keyboard and mouse at the same level as the arm rest of the chair
  • Keep the monitor at the height of your eye level. This will relieve neck and shoulder strain

Now back to feather line, I bought this chair after sitting and experimenting on it for a few times. I wanted to make it absolutely sure that it doesn't hurt my neck or back. At the shop, I felt reasonably comfortable, but I was not sure about what could happen with long use. I sit around the computer for about 8 hrs a day. A chair will be the place where I will spend most of my day. 

When I reached home, I got rid of all the plastic covering. The chair has a strong chemical odor which took a couple of days to fade off. To be honest, the seating comfort was absolutely the kind I was looking for. It doesn't put any stress on my back or neck. Since I bought this chair, I never had back or neck pain. The height of the chair is adjustable to a decent height. My computer table is at least 3 inch taller than normal computer tables (it is a made-shift one), I was able to adjust the height to match the table height. I have used 4 computer chairs before and none of them could match my table height, but this one did.
Feather line also has an adjustable back rest. Back rest and chair height can be adjusted using two separate levers. The adjustable back rest really helped in relieving my back pain, thank God. The wheels are also very good. It is very easy to move around. I definitely recommend this computer chair, especially for those people who have issues with neck and back pain. The money I spent on this chair is really worth.

How To Redeem ICICI Bank RD And Fixed Accounts

You can redeem your ICICI bank RD and Fixed Account deposits before the original term end. You can do this online or by going in person to any ICICI bank branch (home branch is better).

Your request will be processed within a day and the amount will be credited to your ICICI savings account. There will be some changes in the interest rates if you close FD or RD prematurely. Moreover, ICICI bank will charge an interest penalty (which is 1% or so).

There is nothing more dreadful than losing your U.S passport during a trip abroad. It will switch the panic button on. Your thinking and common sense should prevail under those circumstances. When you travel abroad, always keep a couple of photocopies of your passport and drivers license (or any other valid ID proof). The form can be downloaded from U.S Department of State's website. Similarly, you must also fill out the DS-11 form (which you did when applying for a new passport).

So when the bsnl people checks the list of complaints received at 10am, yours will be at least in the first top 10 and they will respond quickly (Yes they starts sorting from the last complaint onwards, a bsnl employee told me).

Yonex P60 Badminton Racket Review

Recently, my brother gifted me a Younex P60 badminton racket. So I decided to do a review on it. My first impression was, Jeez this one is extremely light. Till then I was using a Silvers professional badminton racket. When compared to Silvers, Yonex P60 was extremely light, the light weight is because the bat is made of titanium, one of the lightest metals.

It feels good when you hit the shuttle cock. One slight issue with this badminton racket is that the gripping area is very abrasive. After a couple of days of use, blisters started to appear on my right thumb. Let me tell you, it was some pain. Once the blisters healed, the skin around it became really hard. From then on, there was no issue with it.

Yonex P60 is the best badminton racket, I have ever played with. The tension in the string is just about perfect, not too much nor too less. I loved this one.

Ever thought of a connection between the number of ad units and adsense CPC? Yes, there is a connection. According to adsense policy, you can have a maximum of 3 ad units per web page. Now, you might be thinking that, I can add all 3 ad units to maximize my adsense earnings. No, a big NO indeed. It is a myth. Adding more ads on your website will decrease your CPC (Cost per click). 

Suppose you have 3 spaces on your website for placing 3 ad units. You have employed all 3 possible ad units. For all websites, there will be one ad space which receives most number of clicks. The one with more CTR (Click Through Ratio) should be your trump card. So you should give maximum chance for your best ad space to earn more. Similar to the most performing ad unit, there will be one least performing ad unit which receives the least number of clicks.

In order to increase your adsense CPC, get rid of the least performing ad unit. Getting rid of the least performing ad unit means, you are giving a chance for best ads (with high CPC) to show up in ad units which receive most number of clicks. I have seen my CPC on this blog increase by 30-50% since I got rid of the least performing ad unit. The number of clicks I received remained more or less the same, but my earnings increased.

Ever since I got rid of the least earning ad unit, more relevant ads with high CPC started to appear on the two ad units employed in this blog. Normally adsense comes up with one high CPC, content based ad. You must give it a chance to show up on the ad unit that has maximum CTR. Having 3 or more ads mean, the high CPC, high relevant ad can show up on a least CTR ad unit and you will lose your earnings. Lesser the ad units, higher the CPC.

Last but not the least, having more ad units on a web page hinders the user experience. I have seen some websites with ads everywhere, it is very annoying to the readers. Visitors will never return to your website if you pack your website with ads. If there is no visitors, there is no earnings. It is not all about money,  it is about quality. No one has earned money doing nothing, do the hard work, provide good content, slowly your earnings will increase.

The cost strictly depends upon your requirements. If you just want a simple static website with basic functionality, various webdesign firms charge between 10k and 15k. If a static website is all you want, it is better to find some freelancers like me (Contact me at Freelancers normally charge between Rs.6000 to Rs.8000, you can get quality websites for that price.

Most web design companies in India charge above Rs.18,000 for dynamic websites with functionality like user editing interface. For e-commerce websites with payment gateway the price goes above Rs.30,000 all the time. 

If you want your website to come good in google search results, companies charge extra for SEO. Minimum charge for SEO is Rs.10,000 and it goes up. Most companies have SEO packages starting with a duration of one month to six months. You better choose the the lowest possible plan. I mean there is no guarantee for SEO and if any company claims so, it is a marketing gimmick. With SEO, you are completely at the mercy of Google. What if google suddenly changes the algorithm just like they did in 2012, all the money you put in SEO will become ashes and to add insult to injury, whatever you have done so far will backfire and your rankings will take a beating. SEO is a lottery, invest in it carefully.

Check Lists Before Handing Over A Webdesign Job To A Company

Make sure that the web design company has enough expertise in web development and design. Some companies will accept the job and drag it on for ever, as they don't have experienced people to get the job done.

Make sure that the website is compatible with all possible web browsers in use. Some websites will have compatibility issues with Internet Explorer. It is not a huge thing if your business is India based, as 85% people use Chrome and Firefox.

Make sure that you have all the authority over the website once the work is finished. Get all the usernames and passwords. Change the password, never let the web design company to hold those kind of details.

Normally web design companies do leave some little things unfinished, for you to go back to them once again for maintenance. Make sure that you communicate this well. Tell them that you want this website 100% done and you are not coming back for maintenance.

Starting  a home care business in Texas can be a daunting task at times. The licensing authority for home care agencies in Texas is the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). First you must submit an application for HCSSA (DADS form 2021) to Texas Department of Human Services office in Austin. You should also submit a certificate of good standing obtained from the Texas state comptroller. You can get the certificate through fax or email or in person. A criminal background check of all staff and owners will be done by DADS, for this you need to file DADS form 2022.

You will have to submit all the supporting documents required by forms 2021 and 2022. The supporting documents include informational about the business structure, educational qualifications of the staff, national provider identifier, IRS identification number etc.

5. Select a payment policy, select PaisaPay or you can choose Cash on Delivery or EMI via PaisaPay.

6. Select a shipping policy. Choose whether you want domestic or international listing. If you choose international listing you will be charged Rs.23 as eBay seller fee. If you choose domestic, it will be Rs.3 for up to 30 days. In the shipping policy details area,just enter 'Ships to anywhere in India', if you don't have a detailed shipping policy.

7. Click Continue > Preview your eBay listing > List your item

8. Once a buyer buys the item you listed for selling on eBay India, you will be given two deadlines. One for shipping the item and the other for delivery.

9. Once the buyer confirms the receipt of the item, the money will be transferred to your PaisaPay account. Ebay will deposit the amount to your bank account on every Monday and Thursday. It will take a maximum of 3 days for the amount to reflect on your bank account. PaisaPay will charge a small percentage (6% or so) of your selling price as PaisaPay fee. PaisaPay will deposit the amount to your bank after deducting PaisaPay fee.

Go to My eBay > Selling > Edit listing > Scroll down to shipping > Edit shipping policy > now remove international shipping and save. International listing will now be removed from your item.

Few days back I had an issue with my Toshiba laptop not reading my SD memory card. When checked online many has reported this issue with Toshiba laptops. The issue is not related to hardware at all, it is with the driver.

Restart the laptop and put your SD memory card back in, it should work fine.

In good old days there used to be a long line in front of KSEB offices to pay the bill. Introduction of Akshaya e-payment and facility to pay electricity bill online made it an easy job.

In order to pay your KSEB electricity bill online

1. Go to > Pay Bills Online > Enter the bill details such as KSEB electrical section, consumer number, bill number, phone number and e-mail ID. E-mail ID is collected for sending a copy of the receipt.

2. Once you click on 'Show Bill Details' you can see the details of your consumer number and the amount needed to pay. Confirm the details and make payment using netbanking or credit or debit cards.

You can take a print out of the KSEB electricity bill receipt. Normally you don't need to, as a copy of the bill will be sent to your e-mail address which you can keep for future references. Why waste paper? Save nature.

Sony Ericsson W100i Display Problem - Solved

Sony Ericsson W100i is a smart little walkman phone.  It is small an cute. I have been using Sony Ericsson W100i as my spare phone for 3 years. The most complaints from W100i users are regarding its display. I too have been on the receiving end of this display problem for 3 times. Yes, you heard it right. My W100i display blacked out 3 times and all the three times, the culprit was the flex cable ( the strip that connects the two sliding parts).

Because W100i is a sliding phone, people tend to use the slide roughly. When you slide it with force, the flex cable that connects the two sliding parts will snap. It will cost Rs.500 to get the flex replaced from an authorized Sony Ericsson service center. The difficulty doesn't end there, now that Sony and Ericsson have separated, all Sony service centers in India won't accept this phone for repair. You will have to go to a Sony service center for older phones (Sony Xperia smartphones now have a separate service center).

Sony Ericsson W100i Display Problem

When I changed W100i flex cable for the first time 2 years back, the charge was Rs.400, now they charge Rs.500 for flex replacement. Rs.500 is too much as they don't give any warranty for the new flex cable. If you are interested in self fixing the device, you can buy the flex cable from online stores like eBay. I have checked the price on eBay, it costs around Rs.180. Buy the flex cable, watch w100i disassembly videos on YouTube to know how to open the parts and repair it yourself. You can save Rs.300. All the best.

Tip: In order to get your display last longer, reduce the usage of slide while taking calls, press on the answer button instead of sliding.

How To Get A CDL in Texas

A commercial driver license (CDL) is different from normal driver’s license. You must have a Texas CDL to drive a vehicle or truck
  • With a gross weight of 26,000 pounds
  • To transport hazardous chemicals or other materials
  • Which has a total seating capacity of over 16 passengers
In order to get a CDL in Texas, you will have to undergo some tests and procedures. To get Texas CDL, you must go to your nearest Texas DMV driver license office with required paperwork. You must have a clean driving record to qualify for CDL. There is no online application for CDL, you must apply in person. Paperwork required to get CDL in Texas is explained below:

ID Proof: Submit a valid ID proof to verify your identity. Take at least two valid ID proofs with you as they may ask for it. The details on both ID proofs should match.

Texas Residency Proof: You must provide two proofs. One of the proofs should contain supporting evidence that you lived in Texas for at least 30 days.

Social Security Number: Texas CDL will not be issued to individuals who does not provide proof of Social Security Number.

Self-Certification Affidavit: Submit the self-certification affidavit to prove your medical status.

Details of the Vehicle: If you are the owner of the vehicle, you must provide proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance of all vehicles registered under your name.

Examination and Tests: Appear for Supplement Application Texas CDL Certifications And Record of CDL examination. Appear for the vision test. Pass other knowledge test, skill tests and any other special endorsement tests.

Payment: Fee varies according to age group and other requirements. Normally it costs $61 to get a CDL that expires in five years.

Driving Test: You must provide the commercial motor vehicle (CMV) for driving test. The CMV should be in the same class as the CDL you are applying for. You can schedule the driving test online by going to Texas DPS website. Remember that not all driving license offices can accommodate a CDL driving test.

Let me remind you once more, you must have a clean driving record to qualify for a Texas CDL. While applying for CDL, you must specify whether you are applying for interstate or intrastate commerce. Note that, you must have a regular driving license before applying for a commercial driving license. If you don’t have a regular license, apply for it first.

Samsung Galaxy S5 To Be Released On April 2014

Barely 9 months after Samsung Galaxy S4 release, rumours are going around about the release date of Galaxy S5. Samsung will release its next flagship device Galaxy S5 as soon as they are done with the development of 20MP camera sensor. Yes, you heard it right, Samsung Galaxy S5 is going to feature a 20MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing one.

Initially Samsung was aiming for a February 2014 release but they have extended it to April 2014 because their camera sensor won’t be ready by February. Rumours were that Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature a 16MP camera (S4 has a 13MP camera), however the release of Nokia Lumia 1020 (41MP camera) and Sony Xperia Z1 (20MP camera) made Samsung to rethink its decision. All in all Samsung Galaxy S5 will be a beast that packs a lot of features on paper. How it will perform against its competitors? Only time will tell, well 100 more days to be exact.
