Here I am not talking
about the technical specifications of Nokia C6 which you can get from any tech site, I just want to tell you about
my user experience. I bought Nokia C6 in December 2011 and it’s been 8 months. I
bought C6 for Rs.12000 and I could have bought any Samsung smartphone with the
same specification at a lower price. I have been a Nokia user for a while and
my experience with Sony and LG wasn’t so good, so I went in with the quality of
Nokia in mind. Samsung smartphones’ comparatively lower battery life was also a
deciding factor. Here I am listing some of the pros and cons of Nokia C6 which
I learned through my user experience of 8 months.
Pros
Good Battery Life: Lasts
for about 3 days under average 2G use and for 1.5 days in 3G
Great Camera: 5MP
camera with LED flash can really produce some good quality images, the video
quality is exceptional.
Audio: Audio quality is
pretty good. You can hear music crisply.
Cons
Touch Interface: C6
comes with a resistive touch screen which sometimes is pretty slow in response.
Sometimes you will have to touch the same button twice or thrice to get some
response.
Processor: The
processor speed is pretty low and sometimes it takes an eternity to load
applications like UC Browser. Another problem is that the phone gets stuck
every now and then (this issue has been reported by many C6 users).
OS Software: OS Software
leaves a lot to be desired. Even some simple things that you can do on ordinary
Nokia phones are missing in C6. One such thing is, if you create a message and
you want to send it to a number in the call log list (which is not in your
contacts) is available on ordinary Nokia Phones, unfortunately on C6 you don’t
have that option.
Weight: 150g is a lot
heavier than many other smartphones.
Verdict:
There are better phones in the market. One more thing, I wish to sell my C6 if you are willing to pay Rs.5500. 1 year usage, excellent condition. Let me know by commenting if you are interested.
