Inorder to shift or transfer your Bsnl landline number to another address or location, you have to give an application on a white paper citing the same. If you want to transfer your landline number to a location within the same telephone exchange limit, you need to write the word ‘Shift’ in the application. If you want to transfer it to any location outside the exchange limit, you need to write the word ‘Transfer’ in the application.
You should provide your current address and the new address, telephone number, house number (Both old and new). Before writing the application you will have to consult the Joint Telecom Officer(JTO) of new exchange to know whether your new location has a twin cable facility or not. If there is no twin cable facility at your new location, then you will only get a wireless landline connection, which will be a setback for Bsnl Broadband users. If you have hold in the top bsnl offices, you can pressurize to get a twin cable. Bsnl is now promoting wireless land line connections, those who apply for wired land line connections are made to wait more than 6 months.
