How to convert your 2G sim to 3G sim

To convert your 2G sim to 3G or to activate 3G service on your existing sim, different operators have different sms formats

For Tata Docomo:

• SMS 3G Life to 53333
• You will receive a WAP push for 3G portal
• Please browse and click on 3G Life
• Download the 3G Life experience and install it

For Aircel:
SMS START 3G to 121

For Vodafone:

SMS ACT 3G to 144

For Reliance GSM:

SMS ACT 3G to 121

For Idea:

SMS ACT3G to 12345

For Airtel:

SMS 3G to 121

Note:  If you are using a Nokia phone, in order to avail 3G services you will have to change the network settings to Dual Mode.
