On 20.6.2012 around 6.25pm Tata Docomo GSM network went down in various parts of India including the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradhesh and Karnataka. Docomo customer care was not available. It was due to a major technical failure in the Docomo's network cables. The outage lasted for about 5 hours and Tata Docomo customers all throughout India were left stranded. Docomo is yet to come out with a valid explanation and this failure has become a major dent in the reputation of the popular mobile operator.
